On August 17-18, 2022, domestic first-year students are invited to join new international students for Global Friendship Days at the end of the in-person international student orientation, just before Welcome Weekend begins.

Global Friendship Days is a pre-semester program in which international and domestic students learn from one another and share experiences focused on common interests and differing perspectives.

Program Activities

The program will begin with a welcome dinner, followed by a full day of activities, and conclude with an awards ceremony. Program participants, grouped with peers from all over the world, will compete in the campus exploration photo hunt challenge. Then, through a selection of activities (arts, athletics, gaming, outdoors, or community services) participants will have the opportunity to connect with others through a common interest. The program closes with an awards ceremony, reflection, and a look ahead to upcoming semester’s global learning opportunities.
