Pay SEVIS Fee
I-901 SEVIS Fee
SEVIS stands for the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System. SEVIS is the system the U.S. government utilizes to collect and maintain information on nonimmigrant students, exchange visitors, and their dependents.
When you are issued an I-20 (F-1 Students) or DS-2019 (J-1 Students), you are assigned an individualized SEVIS number. You may find this number on your document on the first page. It begins with an “N.”
All admitted international students seeking to study in the United States must pay a required SEVIS fee prior to applying for a U.S. visa or entering the U.S.
How to Pay the I-901 SEVIS Fee
Pay the SEVIS fee online. Be sure to print the SEVIS fee receipt and take it with you to your visa interview.
Note: F-2 and J-2 dependents (spouse or child) are not required to pay the SEVIS fee.
