Making plans to travel abroad this year? If you need a new passport, we invite you to take advantage of our U.S. Passport Application Services at MacMillan Hall on the Oxford campus.

Services are available to anyone needing to apply for a new passport book/card or those who need to apply for their first adult passport/card. You do not need to be affiliated with Miami University.

Once your application has been executed by one of our U.S. Passport Acceptance Agents, we will mail your completed, executed passport application to the Passport Services section of the U.S. Department of State for an issuance determination. And while you're here, we can even take care of your photo!

Anticipate Delays

Students, faculty, staff, and community members who plan to travel or study abroad during the coming academic year are urged to apply immediately. The U.S. Department of State recently notified Global Initiatives passport agents that U.S. mail delays are impacting processing times. Their processing times begin the day they receive an application, not the day it is mailed.

At this time, routine service can take up to 18 weeks and expedited service (for an additional $60) can take up to 12 weeks from the day an application is submitted to the day a new passport is received by the customer.

For faster mailing times, customers may opt to pay for 1-2 day delivery service.

U.S. Passport Application services are available by appointment Monday–Friday, 8–4:30pm. To make an appointment, call 513-529-8600 or email Global@MiamiOH.edu.

Please note the following:

• Passport services MUST be scheduled in advance; drop-ins cannot be accommodated. You will receive directions on how to check in for your appointment.
• Passport photos can be obtained for an additional fee during your appointment or by visiting 214 MacMillan Hall from 8–4:30pm Monday - Friday.

Please note: we do not process or mail in applications for a standard adult U.S. passport that needs to be renewed, but we can provide photo services and assist you in reviewing your application before you mail it in.
