HWC Director Wins Humboldt Prize

Howe Writing Center Director Lizzie Hutton was recently awarded the 2020-2021 Humboldt Prize for the best poem with an environmental focus published the previous year in The Florida Review. The Humboldt Prize is given annually and commemorates the legacy of the visionary German naturalist and explorer Alexander von Humboldt (1769-1859). Hutton’s winning poem titled, “Holiday 2” will be reprinted in the upcoming April 2022 edition of Aquifer
