Information for Transfer Students

Students who wish to transfer to Miami University Regionals often have questions about how their previous credits can be used. Regional Advisors are available by appointment for potential students who wish to bring unofficial transcripts and discuss how their previous coursework might be applied to degree programs at Miami Regionals.  Professional Academic Advisors also assist students with the transfer credit petition process to the Office of Liberal Education or their academic department.

Students applying to Miami Regionals should send their official (unopened) transcripts to the Office of Records and Registration at Miami Regionals. New transfer students typically meet with an Advisor after they have completed an online Transfer Orientation and when their credit evaluation by the Registrar is complete. During times of peak volume however, evaluations may not be complete and Advisors will rely on unofficial credit evaluation to make placement and course recommendations. The responsibly rests with the student to double-check their transfer credit on their Degree Audit Report (DAR) once the transfer credit evaluation is complete.
