Rick Walker is entering his 4th season as the head coach of the Miami University-Hamilton softball program.

Under Walkers' leadership, the Harriers have enjoyed a steady climb up the ranks, moving from last place in the conference prior to his arrival to two straight years reaching the Ohio Regional Campus Conference Tournament Championship with the Harriers claiming the title in 2019.

Walker holds his squad to their whole title of "student-athletes". Walker even noted that "Our players are student-athletes, and that means academics come first." Through Coach Walkers' encouragement and the team's hard work and dedication scholastically, the Harriers have consistently raised the team GPA each semester from what it was before Walker took over the program.

Walker began his post-undergrad coaching career as head softball coach of the Sayre High School (Lexington, KY) before making stops at North Oldham HS, Bryan Station HS and Lloyd Memorial HS (Erlanger, KY).

Walker graduated from Greenville University with a B.S. in Recreation with an emphasis in Sports Administration where he lettered 2 years with the Panther Men’s Soccer Team and 1 year with the Panther baseball team.

Walker and his wife Lisa, currently reside in Cincinnati.
