10 Things That Made 2020 Unforgettable at Miami Regionals

A dog jumping in the air. Jump for JoyAs we plan our holiday feasts and prepare to celebrate our faith traditions, there is no better time than now to show gratitude. Our list is simple, highlighting several powerful moments of courage and triumph in the face of a global pandemic. Despite all that has happened in a year many want to soon forget the Regionals has produced a plethora of memorable moments to be thankful for:

  1. Raised $32,312 for #MoveInMiami to support student scholarships and programs.
  2. Graduated 475 students in a memorable virtual graduation.
  3. Assisted 55 students with $39,298 in generous donations for the Student Emergency Needs Fund.
  4. Received $1.3 million to assist students in graduating from college.
  5. Recognized as the first university to offer ICAgile-accredited courses.
  6. Graduated the first, four-year degree student in applied biology.
  7. Recognized four Miami University Regionals students for honors won in the Perk-Up Middletown art project.
  8. Launched Miami University Regionals microcredentials program.
  9. Secured Ohio Regional Campus Conference title in women’s and men’s basketball.
  10. Miami Regionals’ Engineering Technology and Miami’s Electrical and Computer Engineering were awarded a $325,000 Regionally Aligned Priorities in Delivering Skills grant in support of the Robotics Engineering and Robotics Engineering Technology programs.
