Student Veteran Resources
As a student veteran, you have had the unique opportunity to gain training and job experience in the military. However, it may not be easy to connect those experiences with potential majors and future career goals. Career Services & Professional Development recognizes that the transition from the military to college and beyond can present challenges, to show our support, we have composed a list of resources that may be of particular interest to veterans, and their families. Below you will find helpful information about resumes, transition assistance, and job postings specifically for veterans. Beyond exploring the links below, this site is full of useful information for all students, so please take time to visit our other tabs. Please contact our office for one-on-one assistance.
LinkedIn can be especially useful for veterans because it can help you connect with military officers outside of the classified online system you were used to having while in service. It is important to create a strong profile and to connect with superiors so that if you need a reference or letter of recommendation when you graduate you can still contact that person.
