Change of Campus Students

Change of campus students are those students who have been enrolled primarily at a Miami University regional campus (at Hamilton or Middletown) and then shift to Oxford to take one or more classes.

Though change of campus students are already Miami students, the process of transitioning to a new campus can include unique challenges and necessitate particular types of support. The Office of Orientation and Transition Programs on the Oxford campus, in collaboration with staff at the Hamilton and Middletown campuses, offers support for change of campus students as you shift to the Oxford campus.

Support for Miami students new the Oxford campus includes:

  • An orientation Canvas course with details and information most pertinent to change of campus students.
  • In-person campus tours of the Oxford campus during the first week off class each semester.
  • An open invitation to consult with staff in Orientation and Transition Programs on resources or questions about the Oxford campus.
  • UNV101, an optional, 1-credit course entitled, "I Am Miami" that supports students in their transition to Miami. A special section is typically offered each semester that is tailored for transfer students, which change of campus students are invited to join.
