Three MiamiOH Global Updates

MiamiOH Global Updates: Summer 2019

Encourage your student to study abroad this winter term

Miami has an array of winter term programs and we hope your student will explore their options. Most applications are due by September 15. If your student is home for the summer and wants to start a conversation before returning to campus mid-August, just contact us and we can set up an appointment over the phone. Send an email to EducationAbroad@MiamiOH.edu or call 513-529-8600.

Student thinking about studying abroad, but not quite sure about the details? Encourage them to register for Introduction to Study Abroad, a 2 credit-hour sprint course this fall.

Help your student prepare for internships and careers in the real world

We offer two programs that teach students skills that will help differentiate themselves from competition in internship and job interviews.

  • Voices Intergroup Dialogue–This 3 credit-hour, 12-week sprint course, allows for students to engage in open and constructive dialogue and explore issues of intergroup relations, intellectual diversity, free speech, conflict, and community.

  • Global Readiness Certificate–This certificate program helps students position themselves strategically for employment in today's increasingly competitive, diverse, and global workforce.
