The Miami University Parents Council is composed of parents who have been invited to work with university administrators to develop initiatives that benefit students and to make recommendations for allocations from the Miami Family Fund. The Parents Council meets twice a year on campus to identify critical areas of focus that will positively impact and enhance student life. The Parents Council's current three areas of focus are Health and Wellness, Career Development, and Greek Life. The council shares the "parent perspective" with university leaders and speaks with current parents and prospective parents and students on behalf of Miami University.
