Campus Accessibility

Student Disability Services (SDS) works closely with campus partners to create and sustain an accessible educational environment. We regularly collaborate with other university offices regarding the accessibility of technology, campus spaces and events.

Miami is committed to ensuring all members of the community have full access to digital spaces. SDS supports these efforts through close partnership with the AccessMU Center. ATS provides accessibility training, alternative text production and  provides leadership regarding web accessibility and accessible technology procurement.

We also work with students regarding accessible housing, classroom location and travel routes. All of Miami University's academic and administrative buildings and programs are accessible. We encourage you to review the parking areas website for a map which shows accessible entrances and curb cuts to help navigate campus.

There are a variety of accessible housing options on the Oxford campus and in the local area. Our staff works with students to coordinate housing accommodation as well as disability-specific emergency evacuation plans.

Accessible parking options are available on all Miami University campuses, in addition to an accessible bus service operated by the Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA). BCRTA also offers ADA Transit Services.

SDS welcomes inquiries regarding campus accessibility and any access concerns can be reported by filling out the Accessibility Barrier and Grievance Form online.
