LeeAnn Burczynski, President


LeeAnn is a third-year undergraduate student at Miami University studying Strategic Communication with a co-major in Interactive Media Studies and a minor in Mathematics. LeeAnn has been involved in Miami Activities and Programming since her freshman year and currently serves as president of the organization. Her favorite part about MAP is being surrounded by so many driven and passionate individuals working to enhance the Miami experience for others. Additionally, LeeAnn is a member of PRSSA, Kappa Kappa Gamma and works in the University Communications and Marketing Department as an intern. A fun fact about LeeAnn is that her proudest moment is when Steve Harvey retweeted her tweet on August 10, 2019.

Seth Francis, Vice President

Vice President

Seth is very excited to be entering his third year as an undergraduate at Miami University; he is currently pursuing a degree in Human Capital Management and Leadership within the Farmer School of Business. Seth joined MAP his freshman year and is currently serving as the Vice President of the organization. Some of his duties include New Member Education, member retention, and supporting the directors on the executive team. Seth’s favorite event is the Bagel and Deli competition! In addition to MAP, Seth serves as an Undergraduate Assistant for Business 101, as well as a general member in the Miami Roundnet Spikeball Club. Outside of academics, Seth enjoys finding new music to listen to, socializing with friends, and watching TikTok!

Cody Vandergrift, Arts & Entertainment Director


Cody is a third-year undergraduate at Miami and his hometown is Dayton, Ohio. He is a Psychology and International Studies double major with a minor in Criminology. Cody joined MAP his sophomore year and is now the director of Arts & Entertainment. As the current A&E director, Cody organizes and coordinates events such as: the Next Drag Superstar, the Comedy Series and Open Mic Nights. Cody also works with agents and other professionals in the entertainment industry. He is very passionate about enhancing the Miami experience and is so excited to interact and get to know the Miami community, both on and off-campus. Cody is an enthusiastic drag race fan and a member of the Beehive!

Ethan Jones, Finance Director


Ethan is a third-year student here at Miami from Columbus, Ohio. He is majoring in Geography with the co-major in Environmental Science. After enjoying events in his freshman year, Ethan decided he wanted to take part in the planning process and joined MAP his sophomore year. He currently serves as MAP’s Director of Finance. This means that he oversees the budgeting and spending for all of the events that MAP puts on for the university. Ethan is an avid sports fan, especially hockey. He is a diehard Columbus Blue Jackets fan and also attends as many Miami RedHawks games as possible. His favorite part of MAP is getting to interact with MAP members, as well as the attendees at the different events. His favorite event is, of course, Fallin’ for Goggin. In addition to MAP, Ethan is on the leadership team of the MU EcoReps, a member of Phi Delta Theta, and a RA in Stonebridge Hall.

Sadie Van Wie, Graphic Design Director


Sadie is in her second year at Miami University, majoring in Interactive Media Studies and minoring in Entrepreneurship. Sadie joined MAP her freshman year and is so grateful to now be serving as the Director of Graphic Design. She is very excited to get the chance to work with the other directors to create graphics for MAP. Outside of MAP, Sadie also plays an active role in Pi Sigma Epsilon, on the Design and PR committees, as well as designing spreads for The Miami Student Magazine. Sadie is from Richmond, Virginia and she’s (almost) fluent in Sign Language!

Katherine Horsford, Late Night Miami Director


Katherine is a second-year student at Miami who is majoring in.Media Arts and Culture and American Studies.  Katherine joined MAP last year and currently serves as the Director of Late Night Miami.  She is excited to collaborate with other organizations on campus in order to create memorable experiences for all students on campus!  Outside of MAP, she serves as the PR officer for Miami’s Sketch Writing and Acting Group (SWAG), president of Miami Film Society, is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, and works in the College of Arts & Science Dean’s office.  A fun fact about Katherine is that she’s seen 14 shows on Broadway.

Reneé Smestad, Marketing Director


Reneé is a second-year undergraduate student at Miami University who is majoring in Interactive Media Studies, English: Creative Writing, and Professional Writing. Renee has been a member of MAP since her first year at Miami and currently serves as the Director of Marketing for the organization. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to promote all of MAP’s events and get the Miami community excited about all that Miami University has to offer. Some of her duties in this position include running MAP’s social media accounts, organizing the weekly “Mornings with MAP” marketing event, and coming up with and executing out-of-the-box marketing ideas to promote MAP’s events. Outside of MAP, Renee is currently an RA in Emerson Hall, a reader for Happy Captive Magazine, a part of the University Academic Scholars Program, and previously served as a member of the 2019 SOUL Team. A fun fact about Renee is that she used to partake in dance and vocal competitions, and has won several Platinum Awards!

Shannon Bailey, RedHawk Events Director


Shannon is a second-year student at Miami University studying Software Engineering with a minor in Interactive Media Studies. Shannon became a member of MAP her freshman year and is the current director of RedHawk Events. She is excited to get the opportunity to organize all of the events involving Miami traditions and athletics. Aside from MAP, Shannon works at the cafe in King Library and is very passionate about her role as an Aerial Arts Instructor for Ohio Sports Academy in her hometown of  Springboro, Ohio.  An interesting fact about Shannon is that she has been a competitive trampoline and power tumbling athlete for over 14 years and has won several national champion titles!

Morgan Moritz, Series Director


Morgan is a third-year undergraduate student studying Public Health and Nutrition with a minor in Business Management. Morgan is from Worthington, Ohio and in her free time likes to spend time with friends, adventure outside and watch movies. She is also involved in CRU and SAND on campus. Morgan Joined MAP her sophomore year and is now the Director of Series. In this role, she will be in charge of planning the movie series, craft series and Beyond the Bricks events. Morgan is so excited to be in this role; planning fun events for the Miami Community, as well as being able to meet all of the people that come to our events.

Heather Furbee, Special Events Director


Heather is a third-year student at Miami University from Hudson, Ohio. She is studying Speech Pathology with a minor in Child Studies and Youth Development. Heather became a member of MAP her freshman year and is the current director of Special Events. Heather is looking forward to Springfest 2021. In addition to MAP, Heather serves on the Armstrong Student Center Board, skates for the Miami University Ice Skating Club, and is a member of The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association. Heather loves to design and sew clothes in her free time!
