Intercultural Student Leadership Conference

The Intercultural Student Leadership Conference, formerly known as the Multicultural Student Leadership Conference, is a one-day immersive experience marketed to students from different identities and cultural backgrounds. Historically, the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion has planned and organized this conference for students to provide professional development opportunities and access to tools to be successful at and beyond Miami. We are excited to widen our scope and potentially partner with other departments across the University to make this an even grander opportunity for participants.

What is the schedule for the day?

  • 8:15-9 a.m. Check-In/Continental Breakfast Social
  • 9 a.m. Opening Session - 30 minutes
  • 9:40 a.m. Breakout Session 1 - 60 minutes
  • 10:50 a.m. Breakout Session 2 - 60 minutes
  • 12 p.m. Lunch - 60 minutes
  • 1 p.m. Strengths Breakout - 60 minutes
  • 2:30 p.m. Celebrity Keynote Speaker - 60 minutes

Who is the celebrity keynote speaker?

The celebrity keynote speaker will be revealed in March. ISLC participants will get front row access to the celebrity speaker.

How much does ISLC cost to attend?

ISLC is free for Miami students.

Do I have to attend the entire conference?

In order to get the most out of the experience, participants are expected to attend the entirety of the conference.

Are meals included?

Breakfast and lunch are included in the conference registration.
