statueMiami University Student Health Service is conscious of the needs and issues related to women's health. The gynecology department provides preventative gynecology services as well as diagnosis and treatment of health concerns, including sexually transmitted infections.

Your inquiries regarding matters of women's health and responsible sexuality are welcome. Individual needs will be addressed with sensitivity and confidentiality.

The gynecology department is open during the academic year from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

Appointments for women's health may be made in General Medicine during the summer.


Available services include:

  • Routine examinations and paps
  • Diagnosis and treatment of gynecological problems
  • Contraception
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Prenatal referral
  • Abortion referral
  • Sexually transmitted infection diagnosis and treatment
  • HPV vaccine


Individuals requiring additional services will be referred to appropriate medical specialists or agencies. All records will be held in confidence and will not be released to any individual, agency or institution without the written consent of the student.
