Faculty and staff are welcomed to join the campus community for Alumni Weekend on June 9-10! We asked Associate Director of Alumni Engagement, Ellie Witter, about her favorite Alumni Weekend activities — "Every year, we are excited to see so many alumni back on campus, they are so eager to be in Oxford and it is so fun hearing the stories, reminiscing, and just enjoying being Miamians. This year we have alumni from the Class of '58 all the way to '23, as well as future Miamians since several alumni bring their children too!"

Ellie says, "One of the main points of interest for the alums when they return is to see how campus has changed, so we do a lecture on Friday with Bob Keller, former Miami University architect and university planner, to do a then and now and the alumni love it! We also do tours of campus and buildings (especially the new ones). 

The highlight of the weekend is Miami Fest which is the final event that we do on Saturday night where everyone comes together." We are thankful that Miami Dining and Catering help create this experience with food and drinks. We also provide music, games for kids, and it is really a time for all Miamians to come together and enjoy.

Alumni Weekend Highlights

Friday, June 9 - Red Brick Night…Uptown! (Free) 6-10 p.m. in the Uptown Parks. 

Red Brick Night is a collaboration with the City of Oxford and Enjoy Oxford. From 6 to 10 p.m., there will be a variety of family-friendly activities, as well as live music by Exploit.

Saturday, June 10 - Miami Fest ($20 without alcohol, $30 with alcohol; Kids under 12 Free) 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. on Central Quad.

Alumni Weekend culminates in Miami Fest, a huge outdoor party complete with food, music, and fun for Miamians of all ages! Miami Fest will also feature the “Taste of Miami” setup, where you will get to pick and choose your favorite culinary traditions, and a featured DJ. If you're bringing the kids, KidsZone sponsored by Ohio 529 College Advantage will be open from 6:30-9:30 p.m. with plenty of outdoor activities for those under the age of 12.
