Recognizing Star Teachers

Many of the successes that students experience throughout their college career can be attributed to an outstanding teacher or teachers.
Each spring, students are asked to remember how they got their start as CEC students by nominating a k-12 teacher who inspired them to pursue their passions in STEM.
Throughout the month of February, four poster boards will be placed in the common areas of the building with spaces for students to write their nominations. At the end of the month, the posters will be taken down, and certificates will be sent to each teacher.
This initiative, introduced by the Women’s Advisory Committee in 2017, allows students to give educators recognition for playing an important role in their education.
Be sure to check out the boards, and recognize your teachers for all they do!
