Emily Krile, a double major in kinesiology and family science and member of the class of 2021, used her own videos and those taken by other students on their 2018 summer study abroad trip to produce a video highlighting their experience exploring the “smiling coast of Africa” in The Gambia.

On their trip, the students visited health-related organizations to study the social and cultural factors that affect education and health. They also learned the significance of historical events that impact the health of 1.7 million Gambians.
