Madiha Syeda, and Educational Leadership doctoral student, has been awarded a P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship for the 2020-2021 year. The program provides scholarships for selected women from other countries for graduate study in the United States and Canada who will use that education to promote world peace. Members of P.E.O. believe that education is fundamental to world peace and understanding.

The P.E.O. Sisterhood is a nonprofit organization that has helped more than 113,000 women pursue educational goals by providing over $366 million (as of April 2020) in educational assistance, making a difference in women’s lives through six philanthropies and a foundation.
