About

As a department, we partner with the university's divisions and units to attract, develop, reward, and engage diverse talent to meet their specific goals and those of the university overall. Beyond simply hiring new employees (and assisting managers during this process), our work includes:

  • Providing you with ongoing professional development and training
  • Creating a culture of health and wellness on campus
  • Supporting you during major life events, like having a family or going on leave
  • Recognizing your hard work with compensation that spans from payday to retirement

We are a team of resources working together to provide Miami with organizational leadership, advice, and support to meet your changing needs as an academic and staff community.

You may make requests for reasonable accommodations for disabilities related to any portion of the employment process.

The University's agreements with the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Union and the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) establish procedures and rules for employees within these groups.

All full time faculty and unclassified administrative staff members are required to complete the Annual Ethics and External Service Disclosure Form prior to performing any services outside their primary role with the university.

Miami prides itself on offering a safe, healthy, and efficient workplace to all employees. In cases where you feel otherwise, the University offers resources to guide you in resolving your concern.
