Oxford train fatality update

Miami University is saddened to learn that Oxford police have identified the deceased male subject found on railroad tracks Saturday, Oct. 26, as a Miami undergraduate student.  

Oxford Police said the student was found east of the intersection of S. College and Foxfire Drive Saturday morning. In order to give the family adequate time to make notifications, the decedent’s name will not be released by Oxford police until Monday, Oct. 28.
