
Regionals Artist Series season tickets available

Miami’s Regionals Artist Series kicks off its 2015-2016 season Friday, Sept. 25, when Jerry Douglas presents The Earls of Leicester at Miami Middletown's Dave Finkelman Auditorium.

Miami Hamilton season tickets are $92 for adults, $85 for seniors and Miami faculty and staff, and $60 for Miami students and children under 12. All shows are at 7:30 p.m. at Parrish Auditorium.

Sharon Isbin is a multiple Grammy Award winner whose extraordinary lyricism, ability and versatility has shaped her as “the preeminent guitarist of our time.” She has appeared as a soloist with over 170 orchestras and has given sold-out performances in New York’s Carnegie and Avery Fisher halls and many others.

Joe Pug has made a habit of defying expectations by being comfortable with stepping outside the "guy-with-a-guitar" trappings of the genre. Pug has performed many sold-out shows and has toured behind Messenger (2010) and The Great Despiser (2012). His new album “Windfall” was released on March 10, 2015.
Heather Maloney, working with Grammy-nominated producer Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses, Avett Brothers), crafted and delivered on an artistic vision to merge Maloney’s folk roots with indie rock called “Making Me Break.”

Sam Baker turned inward to relearn the use of his body and brain after a Peruvian train bombing almost killed him in 1986. The road back was arduous, but it opened up new vistas in art, poetry and music. “Mercy” (2004) was the first of the trilogy released, followed by “Pretty World” (2007) and “Cotton” (2009).
Gretchen Peters' “Blackbirds” contains modern American roots music from Jerry Douglas, Jason Isbell, Jimmy LaFave, Will Kimbrough, Kim Richey, Suzy Bogguss and more.
Tickets for this performance are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and Miami faculty and staff, and $16 for Miami students and children under 12.
The SteelDrivers

The SteelDrivers is a group of seasoned veterans that braids their bluegrass roots with new threads of their own design. This brings together country, soul and other contemporary influences. They have been invited to perform on numerous radio and TV shows including the “Grand Ole Opry,” NPR’s “Mountain Stage” and the “Conan O’Brien” show.
Tickets for this performance are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and Miami faculty and staff, and $16 for Miami students and children under 12.

Arlo Guthrie’s 50th Anniversary Tour of Alice’s Restaurant

Arlo Guthrie, legendary folk music icon, embarked on an 18-month North American tour Jan. 21, 2015, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the event that inspired the seminal song, “Alice's Restaurant Massacree.” A musical monologue running more than 18 minutes, "Alice's Restaurant" has become a Thanksgiving holiday anthem to families across the globe, and it all originates from Guthrie's experience on Thanksgiving in 1965.
