Homecoming contest brings in 249 pounds of canned food

Marketing and creative services helped Miami collect 249 pounds of canned food.

Miami's first office homecoming decorating contest and food drive was held last week with several departments receiving recognition. But, the real winner was  the Oxford Community Choice Pantry, which will receive 249 pounds of canned food collected by faculty and staff.

Awards were:

  • Best Spirit: kinesiology and health — Phillips Hall
  • Most Canned Food: marketing and creative services — Glos Center
  • Most Impact: Richard Hall office
  • Best Use of Homecoming Theme: university advancement — advancement services building
  • Best Overall: university advancement — advancement services building
 The contest was sponsored by the 2015 Homecoming committee and the office of community engagement and service.
