The department of media, journalism & film will remember Cheryl Heckler, associate professor of journalism, at a memorial service 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, in 212 MacMillan Hall.
Heckler taught at Miami for 20 years and was the adviser for The Miami Student from 1997-2004. She graduated from Miami in 1981 with a degree in journalism.
Heckler died Feb. 18 at her home in Carthagena, Ohio. She was 59.
The memorial service will be followed by a reception.
