Paul K. Jackson Jr. memorial Oct. 27
Miami University’s theatre department will host a memorial service for Paul K. Jackson Jr., professor emeritus of theatre, at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Gates-Abegglen Theatre of the Center for Performing Arts.
Jackson taught at Miami from 1998 to 2017, when he retired and moved to Atlanta, Georgia.
At Miami, he served as department chair and director of graduate studies. He taught world theatre history and directing. He held seminars on topics such as August Wilson, African American theatre, and gender, race, class and sexuality in theatre.
Jackson died suddenly Aug. 8 of a heart attack. He was 66.
