Open sessions for candidates for the position of vice president for research and innovation have concluded.

Candidates for the position of vice president for research and innovation each had a day of virtual/remote campus visits. All members of the Miami University community had the opportunity to join an open session. Each candidate shared a short video to briefly introduce themselves and to talk a little bit about their vision for the position. The forum videos were posted and feedback forms have been closed.

The candidates are:

  • Mohamed Elasri, University of Southern Mississippi
  • Alicia Knoedler, Exaptive, Inc.
  • Douglas Woods, Marquette University

The division of the current associate provost/dean of the Graduate School and vice president for research and innovation role into two positions, and two search committees were announced by Provost Jason Osborne in October.
