October means open enrollment for employee benefits

bw-pieIt’s that time of year again. Open enrollment for employee benefits at Miami began Oct. 1 and ends at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. 

You can access open enrollment through BannerWeb under the Employee Services Online tab. 

For more detailed information, please review:

  • The open enrollment website at www.miamioh.edu/hr/oe.
  • The open enrollment booklet that will be sent to homes within the next week.
  • The Working@Miami articles in the Miami Matters e-newsletter every Friday.
  • Attend a presentation in October on one or more of the focus topics highlighted on the open enrollment website.

If you do not complete open enrollment, your current plan elections for health, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance will roll over to 2016.

Flexible spending accounts elections will not roll over; you must complete open enrollment in order to have a FSA for 2016.

Health savings account contributions will not roll over; you must complete open enrollment if you want an HSA contribution beginning in January 2016.

Open enrollment elections/changes are effective Jan. 1, 2016.
