it-msMicrosoft Office Pro Plus is now available to all Miami faculty and staff for use on personal computers at no cost through an agreement between Miami University and Microsoft.

This includes Office 2016 for Mac OS X computers, Office 2013 for Windows computers and Android mobile devices, and Office 2011 for iOS devices. Miami’s agreement allows you to install Office on up to five devices of each platform; PC, Mac and mobile devices.

NOTE: Office 2016 for Windows and mobile devices is coming soon, and more information will be forthcoming when a release date is announced by Microsoft.

To download the software, please visit the appropriate Office Pro Plus portal:

The updated suite of Office 2016 includes redesigned, rewritten versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote for Mac users. Each application allows you to review, edit, analyze and present with a consistent and familiar user interface that gives documents a consistent look across your PC, Mac, smartphone and tablet.  Mac users can now invite colleagues to edit Word documents together in real time.  Microsoft also has a series of Office 2016 Quick Start Guides available for Mac users.
