Microsoft Office 2016 now available to faculty, staff and students for free

office-2016Office 2016 for Windows and mobile devices is now available to all Miami faculty, staff and students for use on personal devices at no cost. The software is available through Miami’s Microsoft Office Pro Plus portal.

This means the entire Office 2016 family of suites are now available to the Miami community through an agreement between Miami University and Microsoft.  In October, Office 2016 for Mac OS X computers became the first suite released to Miami.

Miami’s agreement allows you to install Office on up to five devices of each type; computer, tablet and phone, and you may use the software for as long as you are affiliated with the university.

NOTE: Students who are currently enrolled in a class (such as CSE 148) that exclusively uses Office 2013 should wait until the end of the semester to upgrade.
