Athletic Scholarships
If you are interested in joining one of Miami University’s 17 intercollegiate sports teams, visit MiamiRedHawks.com. On each team’s landing page, you can find a Recruiting Questionnaire to fill out under “More.”
Students who are offered a scholarship to play a counter sport are being offered a full-ride scholarship. Students who play an equivalency sport may only receive a partial scholarship.
Miami offers athletic scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students in the following sports:

Financial Aid Offer Notification
First-year students
First-year students will receive an email with a link to their Financial Aid Offer on their Applicant Status page in mid-to-late March. Students with athletic scholarships will receive their financial aid offer by July 1. The financial aid offer includes all available funds. After confirming your admission to Miami, you can access your Financial Aid Offer in Banner 9 Self Service - Financial Aid.
Returning students
Returning students will receive an email with a link to their Financial Aid Offer in Banner 9 Self Service - Financial Aid around June 15. Students with athletic scholarships will receive their financial aid offer by July 1. Financial aid offers are packaged in June to allow for the posting of the current academic year’s grades. The financial aid offer includes all available funds.
Confirmed and current students
Confirmed and current students with scholarships can review the scholarship renewability, the required cumulative grade point average (GPA), and the required major, on their Scholarship Offer.
Winter and Summer Term
If you are planning to take a winter or summer course, please work with the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics to determine if it will be covered by athletic aid. Winter or summer enrollment will be reviewed and approved on a case by case basis by the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Study Abroad
If you are planning to study abroad, please work with your academic advisor, coach, and the Athletics Compliance staff to determine if it will be covered by athletic aid. The Study Abroad program will be reviewed and approved on a case by case basis by the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics.
