Study Abroad Airfare Grant
Oxford undergraduate students demonstrating financial need, and who plan to attend full-time during either the fall or spring semester in a study abroad program, are eligible to receive a university grant up to $600 for their study abroad airline ticket. This one-time grant is available to a student for one study abroad semester while attending Miami. An additional amount of up to $600 is also available as an interest free university loan.
Students may receive the Study Abroad Airfare Grant no sooner than 180 days prior to their departure date. Students that receive the grant and do not participate in a study abroad program will be required to repay the funds.
To qualify for this grant, students should submit the following:
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) - You must have a FAFSA on file to be considered for the airfare grant and to determine financial need.
- Airfare Grant Application - Submit the application with an estimate of your airline ticket cost or copy of receipt.
- Study Abroad Consortium/Contractual Agreement - The consortium agreement is not required for Faculty-led or MUDEC (Luxembourg) study abroad programs. The agreement requires your advisor's signature pre-approving coursework.
