Program end: August 23, 2023

Eligibility: Domestic first-year students

Program Cost: $195; plus the early arrival housing fee from August 20 - August 24 (4 nights). The early arrival housing fee of $44/night will be billed to the student's Bursar account.

About Get Outside

Calling all those with a spirit of adventure! Explore the outdoors and make new friends. This program will connect you with other first-year students who share your passion for the outdoors while easing the transition into life on campus.

Program Schedule

Sunday, August 20

  • Move-in to your residence hall.
  • Evening meet and greet with a peer leader.

Monday, August 21

  • Biking tour of campus and Oxford.
  • Challenge course experience.
  • Rock climbing at the Rec Climbing Wall.
  • Evening campfire with s'mores.

Tuesday, August 22

  • Full day adventure off-campus in the tri-state region.
  • Choice activity of backpacking, mountain biking, canoeing or rock climbing.
  • Overnight camping trip at activity location.

Wednesday, August 23

  • Closing activity.
  • Return to campus.
