Golden Group FIT
SilverSneakers® and Silver & Fit® are free or low cost membership programs for qualifying healthcare plans. Qualifications can include but are not limited to:
- 65 years of age and older
- Medicare Advantage plan or supplemental insurance coverage
- Based on insurance company and specific plan, such as the following:
- Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield
- Humana
- Aetna
- Secure Horizon medicare supplement
- AARP medicare supplement

Optum Fitness Advantage
Miami Rec Sports now offers Optum® Fitness Advantage from UnitedHealthcare®. Visit fitnessadvantage.optum.com or call the Customer Service number on the back of your member ID card to see if you are eligible for a free membership. Customer Service can answer questions about your plan and benefits. You can also stop by the Pro Shop to check your eligibility and get set up with a membership today!
Individuals who have UnitedHealthcare® Medicare Advantage plan might be eligible for this program. Visit fitnessadvantage.optum.com or call the Customer Service number on the back of your member ID card. Customer Service can answer questions about your plan and benefits.
Become a Golden Member
The term Golden Member refers to all of our insurance based memberships. We work in cooperation with several different companies and insurance providers in order to offer memberships for free or at low costs to eligible participants. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact your insurance company directly. All eligible members are permitted to attend our SilverSneakers® Fitness Classes.

Termination Information
An annual membership can be terminated for reasons such as medical or relocation.
Refunds for annual or monthly memberships will only be processed for up to 4 months.
Classes
SilverSneakers® Circuit
This class incorporates standing low-impact choreography alternated with standing upper body work utilizing weights, resistance bands and SilverSneakers balls.
SilverSneakers® Classic
Designed to improve agility, balance and coordination, SilverSneakers® Classic will help improve overall health and well-being to strengthen you to perform every day activities.
SilverSneakers® Yoga
Throughout the class participants will focus on poses and posture to improve breathing, flexibility, balance, muscular strength and endurance, and joint range of motion.
Aqua Toners
Aqua Toners provides opportunities for people of all ages with arthritis, fibromyalgia, and joint difficulties to participate in a moderate-level fitness class. This program teaches movements with the use of water and equipment to maintain and increase joint flexibility and muscular strength with the use of water and equipment. Modifications will be provided to participants as needed. This minimal impact class also addresses cardiorespiratory strength and endurance.
Deep Water Power
Deep Water Power offers an opportunity to exercise with no impact and provides participants with high intensity training through a variety of movements. Water exercise belts are used for floatation, which allows free movement of arms and legs for the ultimate no-impact exercise. Participants will increase aerobic and muscle conditioning in addition to flexibility.

Silver&Fit
Silver&Fit® is designed specifically to help older adults achieve better health through regular exercise and health education. Silver&Fit provides eligible members with no-cost or low cost fitness memberships through arrangements with certain health plans. Silver&Fit® is provided by American Specialty Health Fitness, Inc., a subsidiary of American Specialty Health Incorporated.

Renew Active
Miami Rec Sports now offers Renew Active by UnitedHealthcare (formerly Optum Fitness Advantage).
Active Body. Active Mind.
Plans are insured or covered by a Medicare Advantage organization with a medicare contract. Enrollment in the plan depends on the plan's contract renewal with Medicare. Participation in the Renew Active by UnitedHealthcare program is voluntary. Consult your doctor prior to beginning an exercise program or making changes to your lifestyle or health care routine.
