Greg Austin

Greg Austin

Director of Hockey
Greg Austin comes to Miami with a wealth of coaching experience, playing experience and hockey administration. Greg grew up playing in Nova Scotia, Canada and went on to play 2 years of JR A hockey and 4 years of Canadian University hockey at Acadia University. Over the last 25 years, Greg stepped into the hockey coaching world and has been a coach at the collegiate, youth A, AA, and AAA levels. Most recently, Greg has been the Director of Total Package Hockey's Center of Excellence in Indianapolis IN since 2016 and has been both a head coach and assistant with Tri-State Spartans 18U AAA team. Greg will coach our 14UAA team for the 21-22 season.


Kevin Ackley

Senior Arena Director

Kevin played Jr. Hockey in the USHL with Fargo/Moorhead and the Chicago Steel. He developed into a DI player earning himself a scholarship to St. Lawrence University. Kevin played at SLU from 2001–2006 and started at Miami June 2006. He has coached ACHA Men’s hockey, high school and AAA hockey in the tri-state area along with overseeing Goggin Ice Center as the Senior Director.

“I am excited to begin this journey with Miami Youth Hockey. I feel we can have an impact on developing young people into great hockey players and more importantly great people. I am biased, but I believe young hockey players learn more life lessons through our game than any others.”


Ryan Gayso

Ryan Gayso

Assistant Director Ice Hockey Player Development

Ryan Gayso joins Miami from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he grew up playing hockey. He attended Robert Morris University and was a goaltender for their ACHA and NCAA Division I program. After graduating, Ryan moved on to work with Total Package Hockey throughout Alabama and Indiana in a number of different capacities. Ryan was the assistant coach with the Point Mallard Ducks in the NA3HL, the goaltending coordinator with the Tri-State Spartans, and a skill development coach at the Center of Excellence in Indianapolis throughout his tenure with TPH. Most recently he worked with his alma mater as the volunteer assistant coach with the Women's NCAA Division I team at RMU, where they won their conference and earned a bid to the NCAA tournament.


Bryce Hatten

Intern for Programming
Interns will help support the program and the coaches on the ice as well as assisting the players. Our interns all have playing experience beyond high school and typically have been involved in Goggin programming throughout their youth hockey career. On staff will be 1-2 interns rotating on two year appointments. These interns help coach Miami’s ACHA Men’s DII and Women’s DI & DII teams and are an integral part of the hockey staff. They also assist with the Miami Youth Hockey Jr. RedHawks Beginners, House and Travel programs.

14UAA Coach
Returning in 2022, Coach Dudley capped off a very successful 2021-22 season as Head Coach of the 12UAA team winning the Buckeye League playoffs. Coach Dudley brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience which will benefit players on the 2022-23 team.

Coach Camuto is returning in 2022 as the Head Coach of the Miami High School Varsity A team. Under his leadership during the 2021-22 season, the team earned a spot in the Buckeye State tournament. Coach Camuto's commitment to his players and families earns him tremendous respect as an up and coming coach.


Alex Brennan

12UAA Coach
Making his debut as the Head Coach of our 12U AA team, Coach Brennan is the newest member of our Coaching family. He has played hockey throughout his youth and college undergraduate years and brings a fresh coaching perspective and youthful energy that will benefit our 2022-23 team.
