Senate News, February 26, 2024
Senators approved several consent calendar items and received a special report from Senior Associate Provost Carolyn Haynes regarding rationale for the elimination of select programs. Senators were provided updates on the Department Planning and Improvement Process. Dr. Leighton Peterson presented additional details regarding the revised Miami Plan. Vice President and Dean, Dr. Ande Durojaiye, presented updates regarding VORA Technology Park plans.

Senate News, February 12, 2024
Senators received several consent calendar items and opted to pull two items on the topics of 1) elimination of majors from curricular items and 2) department planning and improvement. Senators received special reports on the Ryan Center proposal, management of conflicts of interest in projects with external funding, and heard a proposal regarding the Department of Comparative Religion's recommendations concerning their department's planned elimination. In new business, Senators heard a proposal regarding a proposed Master of Engineering program in Mechanical and Smart Manufacturing Engineering.
