Miami University names alumna Maj. Gen. (Dr.) Sharon Bannister spring commencement speaker
Miami University President Gregory Crawford has announced that alumna Maj. Gen. (Dr.) Sharon Bannister will be the commencement speaker at Miami's spring ceremony Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Biology class playing important role in species conservation
Twenty-four students, 19 seniors and five graduate students, in Professor David Berg's Conservation Biology class on Miami's Hamilton campus have had the chance to impact the future of endangered wildlife through a unique opportunity to develop Species Status Assessments in collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and the U.S. Geological Survey.

2021 W. Fred Cottrell Distinguished Gerontology Alumni Awardees
Each year, Scripps Gerontology Center presents selected Miami University gerontology alumni with the W. Fred Cottrell Distinguished Gerontology Alumni award for outstanding leadership and achievement in the field of aging. This year, the award was given to two recipients: Angela Heath and Mark Kolada.
