Bus, bike or walk to EarthFest April 26

Celebrate EarthFest 2014 — highlighting alternative transportation — 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Oxford Uptown Parks. 

Learn more about Oxford and Miami’s new transportation plans, listen to music and enjoy hands-on activities for all ages.

Highlights include:

• Free well water testing by Green Oxford and Butler Soil and Water
• Free bus rides by BCRTA, with demonstrations on how to bring a bike on board
• Papermaking activities, Soil Systems education trailer and the Stream Team information table with students from the Institute for the Environment and Sustainability
• Opportunity for kids 12 and under to win a bicycle through the Passport activity (winner announced at 2:30 p.m.)
• Oxford Farmers Market vendors, Moon Co-op and the Oxford Coffee Company
• Live Music:  OGADE, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.; Kids “junk” band with Peter Carels, 1 p.m.; John Kogge, 2:30 p.m.
