New bike rack sculpture installed outside the Oxford Community Arts Center
A bike rack sculpture that was supported with a grant from the Oxford Community Foundation that was a joint effort between KNH and ART is finally being installed outside the Oxford Community Arts Center on College Ave.

Valerie Ubbes was appointed to the National Consensus for School Health Education
The National Consensus initiative aligns the strengths of leading national organizations with members that provide health education leadership as classroom teachers, local school district- and state-level health education directors, curriculum developers, teacher educators, and researchers as well as additional experts in the field.

Valerie Ubbes received funding from the Delta Dental Foundation for $3000
Valerie A. Ubbes, is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) and Professor of Health Education at Miami University, who has an extensive background in the preK-12 developmental lifespan and was on the National Health Education Standards Committee.

The American Academy of Health Behavior (AAHB) announced that Paul Branscum has been selected as the next Editor-in-Chief of Health Behavior Research.
Dr. Branscum was selected after a rigorous review of his application materials as a talented and well-qualified candidate. His scholarly achievements, experience in research and publications and long-standing service to AAHB support his forthcoming work as EIC of AAHB official journal.

The COVID-19 Pandemic taught all of us many things. One of the sectors that the pandemic put a spotlight on was the healthcare industry. The pandemic showed the resilience of the US healthcare system, but it also pointed out some important areas in need of improvement.

Kinesiology Faculty Complete the Butler County Donut Trail on Bike
Kinesiology faculty members Kyle Timmerman, Paul Reidy, and Kevin Ballard recently rode the 85 mile Butler County Donut Trail in a single day (all 12 shops visited) to support local businesses and promote physical activity.
