Miami University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Miami's most recent comprehensive accreditation review was in 2015, and it resulted in a continuation of our accreditation for ten years, through 2025. The University also had a year-four assurance review in 2019.

In the past, Miami University reported degrees awarded to IPEDS (i.e., federal reporting) at the Oxford campus level with a parent-child relationship which gave 4% of degrees to Hamilton and 4% of degrees to Middletown.

Beginning with the 2014-15 degrees awarded, Miami will report degrees awarded separately for each campus. For details on how the campus of the degree is determined, please read the Explanation of Terms.
